Who is Gryph?
Here it is!! My first every “podcast”. My deepest apologies for any technical glitches. I haven’t the faintest idea how to actually do this, so I’m doing it on my own with a bluetooth headset as my mic. I truly hope you find this enjoyable, regardless.

Hey everyone, welcome to the inaugural episode of the Zensunni Bardo Path, or as we like to call it, ZB. My name's Gryph, and I'll be your guide on this adventure of self-discovery, wisdom-sharing, and, most importantly, Creation. So, grab your favourite beverage, find a comfy chair, and let's embark on this journey together.
First off, a little slice of who I am. I've been asking "why?" about, well, everything since I was knee-high to a grasshopper. Marm—that's my mom—loves to recount the story of six-year-old me pondering why it rained in the summer. She explained, "It's for the plants, trees, and animals, my son." So, naturally, I hit her back with, "Okay, but why does it rain on the sidewalk then?" Yeah, you could say questioning the world was my first true love.
That boundless curiosity led me to explore psychology, fine arts, and comparative religions in university. And through life's ups and downs, I chose an intentional path of growth. As difficult as it was sometimes, choosing growth over other options helped me to navigate being a gay, disabled man in situations where one or the other wasn’t necessarily welcome, much less celebrated. Along the way, I became an artist, a fledgling writer, and a story-teller above all. ZB is the love child of that journey, Gentle Listener.
Now, what is ZB about? If I had to encapsulate it in a single word, it'd be "Creation." We're not just a community, we're an experience—a place to challenge the status quo, a playground for the mind, and a sanctuary for the spirit. Sure, we'll dive into the DUNE universe, but we're also out to blaze new trails and stretch our intellectual muscles.
Look, I'm not here to start some cult. Absolutely not! This is about something subtle yet way more epic—a shift in our perception and engagement with ourselves and each other. It's evolution. And the journey? Well, that's just half the fun. As Frank Herbert is known to have written in DUNE:
“The mystery of life isn't a problem to solve, but a reality to experience.”
So, saddle up, BardScribans. We're in for a wild ride, and I'm sparked to explore, evolve, and create with you all. Let's leave behind something awesome, something we'll call our "Kherrūwidūn".
As we close out this intro, I'm excited and humbled to dive deeper with you all. 'Til next time, keep that curiosity alive and kicking!
Be well, Gentle Listener. See you again…
